ACM day 4: Friday, June 14

Welcome to the last day of our Annual Clinical Meeting, hosted in booming Calgary, Alberta! Over 700 health-care professionals are in attendance this week to learn, share experiences with their peers and celebrate women’s health.

It has been a busy, informative and exciting week for everyone at the Annual Clinical Meeting. From our first day, which focused on international women’s health, through to the delivery of 24 best practice sessions, 21 post-graduate sessions, and 11 symposia, as well as our Research and Innovation Program, many conjoint meetings, and pre- and post-conference courses, it has all been a success.

Today began with the Society’s Annual Business Meeting, which all voting members were encouraged to attend and participate in. Following the afternoon sessions will be the Presidential Inauguration. We will recognize the recipients of our Regional Award, President’s Award and Distinguished Service Award, as well as welcome our president for the upcoming year, Dr. Ward Murdock. Friday will end with the President’s Reception.

ACM day 3: Thursday, June 13

Welcome to the third day of our Annual Clinical Meeting, hosted in booming Calgary, Alberta! Over 700 health-care professionals are in attendance this week to learn, share experiences with their peers and celebrate women’s health.

While the SOGC prides itself on the quality of our scientific program, feedback always tells us that another important aspect of our Annual Clinical Meeting is the opportunity for participants to network, socialize and relax with their peers. Yesterday was a great day in Calgary: informative post-graduate sessions, interesting symposia, and the Canadian Foundation for Women’s Health ‘Healthy Women, Healthy Future’ Gala and Research Awards Ceremony — a special evening of dinner and celebration.

There is a full day of best-practice sessions ahead, as well as oral and video abstract presentations and four symposia!

ACM day 2: Wednesday, June 12

Welcome to the second day of our Annual Clinical Meeting, hosted in booming Calgary, Alberta! Over 700 health-care professionals are in attendance this week to learn, share experiences with their peers and celebrate women’s health.

Feedback from delegates who attended yesterday’s International Women’s Health Symposium indicates that they were exposed to innovated clinical practices, community experiences and valuable insights.

The scientific program continues today, with symposia and 21 post-graduate sessions on the schedule, covering topics from ultrasound and prenatal screening to the management of pelvic organ prolapsed for the generalist — and everything else in between.

Today, delegates can also speak with over 40 exhibitors displaying the latest in innovation and technology for the field of obstetrics and gynaecology.

Many people at the meeting are already looking forward to this evening’s social event, the Canadian Foundation for Women’s Health ‘Healthy Women, Healthy Future’ Gala and Research Awards Ceremony — a special evening of dinner and celebration, where the Foundation will thank supporters and congratulate the winners of its awards, fellowships and grants. And, of course, also raise funds for a great cause.

Please visit our ACM website for more information on our scientific program, social activities or on-site registration.
